Annotation. The paper presents a method for strengthening parts of internal combustion engines using timing exhaust valves as an example. To strengthen the working surface of the valve disc, a coating based on a metal-ceramic powder composition, fused with a short-pulse laser system, was used. Studies of the physical and mechanical characteristics of the strengthening coating have been carried out, and the service life of the reinforced exhaust valve has been assessed.

Annotation. The results of a study of the influence of corrosion of the surface of a part after machining with a blade tool on the strength indicator of the part material, characterized by the stress concentration in the surface layer of the part material - the effective stress concentration coefficient, are presented. The calculated dependence and calculation results are presented with an assessment of the degree of change in the influence of corrosion on surface roughness and its influence on the change in the stress concentration coefficient.

Annotation. Burrs and sharp edges formed during blade processing of parts must be removed. One of the effective methods for their removal is vibration abrasive treatment. The presented research results explain the mechanism for removing burrs and rounding the edges of parts during this processing and can be used in designing the corresponding optimal technological operation for critical medium-sized bronze parts. The results of studies on the choice of processing media and processing mode are presented. Based on the results of the experiments, graphical dependencies were obtained and analyzed, conclusions were drawn, and practical recommendations were given.

Annotation. This work is devoted to the development of a model for the removal of surface layers of anode material due to a jet electrolyte-plasma discharge formed by a hollow cathode. The results of studies of the main types of discharges that occur during the formation of jet electrolyte-plasma processing are presented. The influence of each type of discharge on the morphology of the surface layer of the anode-product was studied. The power, lifetime and energy of single discharges are estimated, and their influence on the surface is assessed. A theory has been proposed for the removal of surface layers by single discharges at the atomic dislocation level. The theoretical calculations are confirmed by the results of experimental studies and multiphysics simulations carried out in the COMSOL Multiphysics program. Practical research results confirm the possibility of reducing the roughness parameter Ra during jet electrolyte-plasma processing by more than 20 times while obtaining an extremely low Ra parameter of 0.019 μm. The area of application of the results of these studies may be the development of technological processes for dimensional and finishing processing of curved surfaces, such as blisks, turbine blades, and various products for household and medical purposes.

Annotation. The application of dimensional-accuracy analysis in the development of new and improvement of existing designs of electromechanical sensors is shown, which makes it possible to establish the reasons for the high labor intensity of fitting and adjustment work during their manufacture and to identify ways to reduce it. The most rational solutions for ensuring the accuracy of the design of an electromechanical pressure sensor are presented.

Annotation. The longitudinal method of centerless grinding, in addition to high productivity, is characterized by high processing accuracy. However, its use in real production systems is quite limited. The lack of finally approved stages for setting up equipment and managing the implementation of a technological operation is one of the main factors influencing the scope of application. This article presents proposals for the structural classification of longitudinal centerless grinding. These proposals include grouping procedures for individual stages of technological support based on the criterion of homogeneity of design procedures. The developed standardized models make it possible to consistently form groups of processing schemes taking into account specific production conditions. Conclusions are presented on the classification of processing methods for design procedures for determining optimal technological modes of longitudinal centerless grinding operations.

Annotation. The work of motor transport enterprises, in particular logistics, depends on suppliers. Currently, the problem of acquiring spare parts and materials is associated with a number of problems that must be, if not eliminated, then minimized for the efficient operation of enterprises as a whole. Problems are associated both with the delivery time of spare parts, their cost, quality, and with a significant number of risk factors (objective, subjective). Therefore, research aimed at developing a risk management strategy when purchasing spare parts by motor transport enterprises is relevant in modern market conditions. The theoretical and experimental studies presented in the work will be improved taking into account the situation both with personnel and in the spare parts market, which will minimize the influence of many factors on the quality of maintenance and repair work, as well as on the economic situation of motor transport enterprises.

Annotation. Schemes of collision with a traffic participant are considered. Schemes are presented with a traffic participant exiting from a moving oncoming obstacle at an angle in the same direction and towards the vehicle. Diagrams of a collision with a traffic participant by a vehicle in the event of a side impact and a frontal collision are given. For all cases, a method for determining the stopping distance of a car is presented.

Annotation. The efficiency of the rolling stock of road transport is determined both by the efficiency of the organization of transport work and by the costs of ensuring the operability of vehicles. One of the pressing problems in the operation of buses is the corrosion destruction of their supporting structure. This leads to both a reduction in vehicle operating time and an increase in operating costs associated with major body repairs. During the work, it was revealed that the main reasons for the intense corrosion destruction of bus bodies are the insufficiently high anti-corrosion resistance of the metals used in the manufacture of the body frame. The main places where body corrosion occurs are: wheel arches; the rear and lower parts of the bus, which are more exposed to adverse road conditions; the upper and lower parts of window openings in case of violation of the tightness of the seal. Research was carried out on the temperature and relative humidity of the indoor heated bus parking area in the winter. Based on the results of the study, the following dependencies were obtained: the air temperature in the indoor parking area on the ambient temperature, the relative humidity in the indoor parking area on the relative humidity of the ambient air, the relative humidity in the indoor parking area and the ambient temperature. The nature of air exchange between the parking area and the environment has been established. Based on the results of the study, factors contributing to intense corrosion destruction of bus bodies were identified.

Annotation. The issue of using optimal technology for organizing traffic on the road network has not been completely resolved at the moment. The article describes the development of a nomogram for justifying the planning decision of an intersection based on microsimulation of traffic in the Aimsun software package, and analyzes the results obtained.

Annotation. Purpose: to automatically ensure parallelism of the planes of rotation of the steered wheels of a vehicle while driving under various modes and conditions, which contributes to minimal tire wear, reducing driving resistance and fuel consumption. The main idea: in the toe-in control system of the steered wheels, the regulatory effect is turned off until the optimal toe-in value is achieved for a period of time (or angle of rotation) of inertial additional regulation, depending on the mode and driving conditions of the vehicle. Results: the dependencies of the main parameters (time or rotation angle) of the inertial additional regulation phase were determined for the following modes of vehicle motion: uniform motion, acceleration, upward motion, braking, coasting motion. The obtained dependencies have scientific novelty and practical significance for the implementation of automatic control of the toe-in of the steered wheels of a vehicle during movement.

Annotation. A theoretical study of existing methods for determining the technical condition of fuel equipment and pressure in the cylinders of power plants was carried out, an algorithm for the operation of an adaptive-controlled method for monitoring the technical condition of fuel equipment and the cylinder-piston group of a vehicle power plant was developed, which solves the problem of synchronization and control of the operation of fuel equipment, depending on the pressure in the cylinders of the vehicle power plant. Based on the adaptive-controlled method of monitoring the technical condition of the fuel equipment and the cylinder-piston group of the vehicle’s power plant, a technical solution has been developed - an automated system for monitoring the technical condition of the vehicle’s fuel equipment.

Annotation. Pneumatic tires must have elasticity, strength, wear resistance, and, taking vertical, tangential and lateral loads, must ensure vehicle stability when cornering. Optimization of their parameters and properties, often of a contradictory nature, is an urgent task, for the solution of which hypotheses were put forward based on the information and analytical research carried out and which made it possible to specify the purpose and objectives of subsequent research.
